Book provides a good look at popular sports and
women athletes. It puts women's achievement in perspective based
on the time period, as well as the athletic achievement of the
event. It covers some of the great women's sporting events familar
to most readers (i.e. World Cup Victory), but also tells the story
of lesser known athletes and events.
Book covers many of popular sports, but does not
have any stories on less popular sports, such as field hockey or
volleyball.
This was an easy read and provided many
"feel good" moments through remembering/reliving some of
my favorite athletic contests and athletes. -- Anonymous Review
